The administrative files make up the first series of sub-group one in the Department of Film and Video Archive. In it you will find early and foundational documents for the department (then known as the Film Section, or simply the film program), as well as correspondence with supporters and donors, shipping documents, collection records, planning documents, and personnel records. Please note that some materials in this series are restricted to protect the personal and private rights of individuals. Items of interest include the original proposal for the film program, as well as letters between its first curator Sally Dixon and the key artists, enthusiasts, and administrators who helped bring the program to fruition. The series is divided into smaller groupings (sub-series) to help you find items of interest. These are 1) Early files, 2) General administrative files, 3) Personnel files, and 4) Funding and donation files.
