Letter from Carolee Schneemann to Bill Judson (03/29/1987)

Dear Bill:
Just received the March Travel Sheet and am proud to have "Venus Vectors" on the cover, and sad that is the last one! As you note the design and format had greatly improved, as if to carry our works boldly forward into these stri ngent years of the narrowing of aims by media/ money in suffocating embrace. Another integral channel of communication and confirmation is lost among other forms by which we marginalized independents sustained a history of shared visual languare and issue.
The information packet on "Venus Vectors" sent to you for the Travel Sheet was also sent to the Gallery at Carnegie, with the thought of its being considered as an installation there. I'm hoping you will come to NYC in the next month or so and could see "VEnus Vectors" at my loft (on return from the Everson). Let me know if there is any information you need; or any suggestions you might have for the piece to travel.
You have my grateful thanks for these years of connecting us by the Travel Sheet, and for giving theCarnegie its breadth and vitality. All best wishes.
