Visiting Filmmaker, Joyce Wieland

Joyce Wieland, visiting Canadian filmmaker, will present and discuss her most recent work, The Far Shore (1976), 104 min. Wieland is an important Canadian artist whose paintings, drawings, and experimental films have been shown around the world. The Far Shore is her first dramatic, narrative work. Set in post-WWI Canada, it is a moving love story about a French Canadian married woman who has an affair with a struggling artist.
