fv001/002/083/B Lecture Part II (32:41 min.)
Hollis Frampton screens and discusses his film The Vernal Equinox (1975), from an annual cycle of films (Straights of Magellan) [sic] in which each day of the year has a designated film, analogous to the medieval book of hours. For the first time, Vernal Equinox, an homage to the 19th century photographer Eadweard Muybridge, is being publicly screened at the appropriate time of year (Spring).
