HOLLIS FRAMPTON, one of America’s leading avant-garde filmmakers, will be present for the screening of THE VERNAL EQUINOX from an annual cycle of films (STRAIGHTS OF MAGELLAN) in which each day of the year has a designated film.
The screening is on Tuesday, March 21, 1978 at 8:00 P.M. in the Museum of Art Theater, Carnegie Institute. Admission $1.00
Hollis Frampton has long been recognized as a preeminent figure in American avant-garde film. He is respected as both a stimulating lecturer and as an artist. The completion of his Zorns Lemma in 1970 is considered a milestone of avant-garde film.
THE VERNOL EQUINOX, an hommage to the 19th century photographer Eadweard Muybridge, is being publicly screened at the appropriate time of year.
