Dear Sally:
I'm delighted at the prospect of an evening with your public, which must now be one of the most visually sophisticated in the country, at least for film. Here's what I'd like to show:
CORRIDOR (22 mins.)
DANGLING PARTICIPLE (16 mins.)
NECROLOGY (15 mins.)
RUNAWAY (6 mins.)
CAT FILM FOR CYNNIE AND KATY (5 mins.)
COLORFILM (4 mins.)
CONSTRUCTION JOB (6 mins.)
RAINDANCE (16 mins.)
Total screening time is 72 mins., which leaves, I hope, plenty of time for introductory remarks, discussion, question/answer exchange, etc. I think it will be a good event and am very grateful to you for making it possible.
lours,
Let's get in touch concerning logistics as the date approaches. I think most likely I'll be staying with the Judsons but thank you for your invitation here.
With fond regards and best wishes,
I've enclosed a bundle of reading matter, plus some stills and photos of me. I once made up a mailer, in 1970, called FILMS BY STANDISH D. LAWDER, and I'm sure I must have sent you one. Bill Judson may also have a copy. If you can't lay your hands on one, let me know and I'll send you my last copy.
