Letter from James Broughton to Sally Dixon
(11/1/1972)
Nov 1, 1972
my dear Sally, I am alarmed that I have had no response
from you to my letter of Oct 13th. Was the letter skyjacked
or earth-swallowed, maybe? I am writing this followup xx
mainly to be certain that you received my letter. It had
so many questions in it about next summer; as well as dates
for a spring course with you. And your support of my Guggenheim...
etc etc.
Maybe you have just been too busy, of course. If so, forgive my impatience. But you know I am very VERY concerned to try to bring about this project. (Also: 2 other letters I posted at the same time have had no responses.) Anyway, permit me the gross gesture of sending you my carbon copy, in case the original was lost.
Note: if there could be a possibility of it, I would be pleased to come to Pittsburgh with my collaborating cameraman; I have been working with him on the script of this project for over a year.
Yours, ever hopefully and devotedly,
